Hoverboy/Ace
was played by former child star ALEX BOOTHBY, who'd played a minor
recurring role on EIGHT IS ENOUGH. As with other late 70's
live action superhero shows such as SHAZAM!, SPIDERMAN, LAND OF THE LOST, and ULTRAWOMAN AND DYNAGIRL, quality
and quantity of FX on the show was quite low. Action was de-emphasised
over talky morality stories.
I
had a copy of one episode on Betamax as late as 1990, at which time
I took these pictures directly off my TV screen to prove to a friend
that the show actually existed. Shortly after, the old tape finally
gave out and was eaten by the VCR. I also lost the episode of THE
MUPPET SHOW with Mark Hammil guest staring.

PICS!
"moklives" sent in these great pictures of a
Hoverboy action figure from the Action Hour.
He writes, "Love your site! Hoverboy rocks! I found this puppy a couple of years
ago at a garage sale just a
couple blocks down from my house. Can you believe I picked it up for 50
cents?!?! Unfortunatley the
Hoverpack, Hovergun, and
ultra-rare Secret-Alien Scanner were no where to be found..."
